...this is a helpful review....the locals tell me Mr Harris is a fugitive wanted by the police on fraud and that he is in Jakarta. Upon arrival, faded writing on the wall says Harris Ijen Crater Homestay, then an old woman opens the door to say one word, 'No". Apparently, it's an ongoing scam. Don't go there as it doesn't exist. Money for nothing. However, a homestay three doors down is excellent. However they take no bookings online. It's in Glondok, near Licin.
