I had messaged the hotel more than a week ahead to ask for an hour earlier check in. They did not reply, and I message again. Then they said something to the equivalent of they would see? I got there an hour early as anticipated. No one answered the door. I saw and heard two people moving around inside but no matter how often I rang the bell I was ignored. Finally someone came out from a side door and I asked for her assistance. She gave me a stink eye and kept telling me to go to reception (again- no one had opened the door) finally she opened the door to reception where another lady said I could only check in at 3 rather rudely. I was at least able to convince them to let me put my luggage there. I returned from the town at 3 and checked in. Unsettled from the poor treatment, I told the front desk I might need to shorten my stay. He pretended not to understand me and kept asking instead about extending it. He did take my bags to my rooms for me, which I was grateful for as I am partially disabled. However, I took one look at the room, and immediately had to change plans and leave. The interior was dingy, the floor was uncarpeted, there was patches of peeled paint and such all over the furnishings and the bed gave me an itch. The power went on and off during my short time in the room, and the internet connection likewise was constantly interrupted. The door was heavy and the digital lock to the room I was assigned sometimes didn’t work. I booked it for two nights and at roughly 80 SGD a night plus a city tax upon arrival. The manager refused to refund me for the second night, and claimed he was unable to do so as the booking site he was aggregated under would not pay him back what he refunded so he would lose money. However, 訂房網站 states this is untrue, and additionally called him thrice to negotiate on my behalf. When they could not receive concessions out of him, they kindly offered me some 訂房網站 coins for the inconvenience. Overall, a very disappointing experience and I advise anyone going to the area to NEVER book this place. The area is also out of the way, the old town square was practically deserted with only the odd tourist around. The shops were all shut at 2pm on a Saturday. No local food but a lot of pizza and kebab places. Worst visit of the 訂房網站 and it was worth losing money booking a new bus out and paying for a different hotels to leave asap. Once again, I URGE YOU, if you have booked this stay, cancel it at once! The power went out whilst I waited for a cab to fetch me to the bus terminal, and it was WINTER. At best it resembled a run down student lodge. Not worth the money. I spent half that for a room in prague which was stunning and twice the size without hostile staff.
