Disappointing Experience at Lalasa Villas Canggu – Misleading Information and Poor Service
I booked Lalasa Villas Canggu based on the claim that the property was renovated in 2024. However, this is misleading as only about one-third of the rooms have been renovated, while the rest remain outdated. Upon check-in, we were assigned an old, unrenovated room. While I initially accepted it, the issues we encountered made our stay deeply disappointing.
On the first day, we noticed the room’s door lock was broken, which the staff failed to address despite being informed. On the second morning, there was no water supply at all. After swimming in the villa’s pool, we urgently needed to shower, but when we reported the issue, the staff took their time to respond. When water finally came through after five minutes, it was black and unusable (see attached photo). Shocked by this, I demanded to be moved to one of the supposedly “2024 renovated” rooms, and thankfully, the staff complied, moving us to a renovated room that evening.
However, the problems didn’t end there. On the second night, around 11 PM, I turned on the bathtub to find no hot water. I contacted the staff, who told me to wait. While I was trying to take a quick shower, two male staff members repeatedly knocked on our door, insisting on entering to check the water. My daughter and I, both female, were in the middle of bathing, and we shouted multiple times that we didn’t need them to come in. Despite this, they opened the outer villa door and continued knocking aggressively on our room door. I messaged the staff via WhatsApp, pleading for them to leave, but they ignored my requests and insisted on checking the water issue. Feeling helpless, I had to put on a bathrobe and open the door just to stop the disturbance.
This experience was incredibly invasive and disrespectful. Despite my clear objections, both the staff at the door and those responding via WhatsApp disregarded my feelings and safety concerns. As a woman traveling with my daughter, I felt extremely uncomfortable with two male staff members persistently trying to enter our room late at night.
Overall, the misleading information about the renovation, the poor maintenance (broken locks, no water, black water), and the intrusive behavior of the staff made this stay unacceptable. I strongly advise others to avoid Lalasa Villas Canggu, and I will not be returning.

В целом норм вилла. До пляжа и основных бич клабов 10 минут пешком. Номер делюкс с персональным бассейном где-то 5м на 3м. Завтраки унылы. Если не планируете рано уезжать по другим локациям - рекомендую завтраки в городе. В «мотоциклетной» доступности порядка 30 отличных кафешек. Сервис слегка удручающий Наши призывы по ремонту выключателей (жестоко искрили), штор (не закрывались), телефона (не работал) увенчались приветливой улыбкой персонала :) Не много опыта по размещению на Бали. Второй раз - возможно, но буду смотреть отзывы :)
