I had another great stay at Jamjens. This is my second time staying here and it is always very comfortable with super friendly vibes and very close to the beach. Nothing fancy, just simple perfection, especially for those budget traveling!

It was great experience staying here. The room was basic but it was good because it was all wbat was needed. Every bit of description was spot on - what one sees here, one gets. And then some :-) The hotel was in a great location. The owners were really nice. Will surely return here.

The service was really good, and the owner of the lodge was very accommodating. There was a little bit of conflict about the promo online, but they managed to give us the best service that they could. The facility was near the beach, only a 2 or 3 minute walk, and you could enjoy the view and beach. Also, they offer paluto or you can buy outside foods; they are just walking distance to the resto, and there is an ATM machine 5 minutes away from the facility, which is convenient, isn't it? I really recommend this lodge; if we're going back there, we will still choose to book there.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Plenty of nicer places, with nicer staff, for less money, in Baler. I know, because I was so unhappy with JamJen, that I spent half my time looking around and inquiring into other lodging. Where to begin? I guess I should say the premises were decent. The pool, which was the only reason we chose this place, was nice. It was covered with green slime however. To his credit, though, the owner cleaned the slime every few days. I couldn’t figure out why he didn’t invest in chemicals though. The owner. OMG. This is where the problem lies. We felt, the whole time we were there, like we were at someone’s house that didn’t want us there. Not only did he not make us feel welcome, he was downright hostile. Whenever I saw him, I’m say “hello boss”, and he would look down at the ground and not even return the high. That’s just the beginning. We lost Wifi twice because he didn’t pay his bill and had to get a load. The worst part was the power though. The Philippines has frequent blackouts; anyone that travels there expects them. Like most hotels, he had a generator, but he used his to power his won apartment and a few up front where his friends and family stayed. We were left without power on 3 occasions in 8 days because of this. If we needed anything, he would act like he was doing us a favor. I have never, in my 69 years, met a human being in “hospitality” with such a cold, hostile, unfriendly, unhelpful attitude. Do yourself a favor: find someplace, ANY place, other than JamJen’s lodge to stay at while in Baler. You deserve it. The waves are good and the place is pretty.

10/10 May naiwan kaming phone sa room and binalik nila. Mabilis din makisuyo sa mga staff. Mababait silang lahat. If babalik kame sa baler, dito kame ulit mag bobook.

Были в номере не далеко от дороги не очень комфортно. На ресепшене орала кошка и гавкала собака. Горячей воды не было.
