樂莫奈酒店 (Le Monet Hotel)

The hotel is located in Camp John Hay, a private, peaceful, and well-guarded community. Although the room is somewhat old, it is very clean and offers a great view from the balcony. Overall, it’s a good choice for those visiting Baguio.

This hotel has some good points: 1. Great buffet bfast with a variety of food selections. I like their dried fish, omelette, langgonisa, coffee, breads, fruits. But noticed they did not serve bananas. Staff looks attentive to the needs of guests. 2. Have greats restos and shops nearby. Also near the CJH Conference area. 3. Has ample parking and nice garden plus heated pool. However this hotel also needs improvement on the following areas: 1. Front desk looks like they are not coordinated. Made separate booking for three nights via Agoda and 訂房網站 and informed the hotel about this arrangement. However, after our first night, front desk asked us if we are extending our stay. Worst, they deactivated our key cards so we have to go down again to have them activated again which caused some inconvenience. 2. Toilet has a foul odor so called housekeeping who took some time to attend to us. They told us what to do to avoid the foul smell but some unpleasant smell still remained so reported this to the team leader who sent their engineering to check. The hotel staff told us they will return but never did. So problem was not solved. 3. Requested for late checkout since our 訂房網站 back to Manila was still at 2pm. However, front desk cannot commit and said will require approval. We followed up and got no positive feedback. Called team leader and made complaints about issues 1-3 and had our request accepted. 4. Very difficult to book a taxi or grab and the guards said because of too many guests or tourists. But it’s a pity that such an expensive hotel also has no shuttles service. We booked this hotel because it’s near the conference area but disappointed because we felt we didn’t get the value and services we were expecting. Anyway, thanks to the great staff.

Everything is good, breakfast, halo-halo is the best! Reception staff Jessa is very accomodating as well as the rest. Nurse Jay-Ar is excellent in taking our blood pressure, taking & retaking again after finding out that we 4 seniors have high BP. He even gave me paracetamol to lessen my headache. What a very responsible nurse. The staff at the coffee shop were all attentive & superb too. Concierge & maintenance guys were very helpful too. The only downside is Baguio is not as cold as it used to be 30-40 years ago. Therefore I strongly suggest that rooms should be airconditioned for more comfort. In all, we highly recommend Le Monet to everyone.

Pros: cleanliness Cons: 1) receptionist did not inform us that there is an upgrade fee of our room. I was asking for an available room that has a matrimonial bed ‘cause we have booked a room with 2 separate queen bed. The lady receptionist on duty told us there is an available room but did not inform us of the charges. We just knew of the charges upon checkout which another receptionist insists about the hotel policy for us to pay the fees of P 200 per night. This brought us disappointment for the hotel. 2) room has aircon but inorder to switch it on, we need to pay P 500 per night 3) parking area is on another location where wet soil is formed when there is rain Rate 5/10 only For an expensive hotel who doesn’t have consideration.

Location is at Camp John Hay area which may walk around nearby. But the car parking not connecting with hotel and need to park in the outdoor parking lot opposite the hotel. Serve welcome drinks during check in which is appreciated Room with hairdryer and ceiling fan, but ceiling fan not strong enough. Room and toilet have some musty smelling Suggest to have USB socket ports at the bed side would be more convenient Cleanliness is so so, after using the balcony table for dinner, housekeeper only cleaned up the garbage but did not wipe the table during make up room Front desk are fine, but requested higher floor which not accommodated and was informed fully booked.

Breakfast was not impressive. Gym is so small, it could hardly fit 4 people at the same time. No covered parking, parking lot is located accross the street with a muddy pavement

Le Monet should improve their site information on room location. We are seniors that are sensitive to noise and we were given a room facing the street. The reason given is the rooms facing the forest is full. On our one night stay, a truck was parked in front of the hotel and made loud reving noise on its engine till 2am. Hotel management did not do anything about the noise and its effects on seniors. The following morning when we requested for late checkout so we can catch up on sleep, we were denied. Le Monet is not senior citizen friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at Le Monet. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. Will definitely come back.

The toilet on the floor where we stayed smells like sewerage. They have to fix it ASAP.
