The area itself is perfect and the hotel is just what we needed. Service was kind, breakfast was good and we very much enjoyed our stay there.
Metro stations and tram are close by, and we could walk around easily. Lot's of restaurants and bars too.

We booked this hotel because some friends recommended us .
When we arrived to the hotel we had our rooms already paid , but the receptionist was asking for 50$ per night for deposit we agreed to pay but we couldn't pay by card only cash , the receptionist was very rude saying ( cash is out of the conversation and we can't proceed with the room ) even if the room was already paid !! .
Our card was block so we had to call the bank .
He made us wait 1 hour in the reception with all our luggage he couldn't even let us get inside the room . After we paid the deposit online . He also made us wait another 20 minutes because he was " busy" at the end another receptionist took the case and helped us .
We didn't wanted to complain we were just arriving to amsterdam and wanted to keep the good vibe .
Next day morning at the breakfast they confused us with another room # that " didn't had credit" so they kicked us from the breakfast..... at that moment i got mad and they just apologize and let us finish the breakfast.
THE ROOM was in the next tower so we had to walk very long every time we wanted to get out of the hot
I would not recommend this hotel for an amsterdam visit
