The location is excellent, as it's close to the city center and you can easily walk everywhere. There is also a Lidl supermarket nearby. Our first impression of the hotel was confusing. There are actually two hotels belonging to the same complex, one 4-star and one 5-star, located right next to each other. Since there are no visible signs (seriously, the hotels don't have proper signs), we ended up entering the wrong one. Unfortunately, this meant my wife, who has a disability, had to walk unnecessarily before we were directed to the correct hotel, Astir. The staff at Astir were extremely polite and helpful. In fact, throughout our stay we had no issues with any of the employees. The hotel itself is nice, right on the beach with its own small private beach area. We booked a room with a private pool, but I wouldn't really call it private. It's basically a shared pool divided by low walls at ground level. The partitions provide almost no privacy, and guests in the neighboring room can easily see you, even inside your room. This was probably the biggest disappointment. Perhaps it was designed this way to preserve the sea view, but I'm sure there could have been a better solution that also provides guests with a real sense of privacy. We decided to have dinner at the hotel one evening. Astir doesn't offer a buffet dinner. The other hotel Egnatia does (€25 per person), but I couldn't take my wife there because there was no convenient parking nearby. Instead, we ate from the à la carte menu at Astir's restaurant. The menu was quite limited, with very few choices. The food wasn't bad, but considering the prices, we expected something more memorable. It was an average meal, and it ended up being the last dinner we had at the hotel. They also charged us €4 for bottled water that we hadn't specifically requested, which felt rather excessive. There are much better dining options in the surrounding area. On the other hand, the breakfast buffet was very good. The shower leaked a significant amount of water into the room through the shower door. It was clearly an ongoing issue, as the paint on the floor had already started peeling. Maintenance came to look at it but couldn't fix the problem. We had to place towels on the floor every time we took a shower. The air conditioning was also disappointing. It seemed to have only two settings: on or off. We couldn't adjust the temperature or fan speed at all. We were also warned not to keep the room key cards near our phones. We followed the instructions, yet the key cards still stopped working twice during our four-day stay. Considering how many Turkish guests the hotel attracts, it would have been nice to have more Turkish TV channels available. I know bidet spray nozzles are not very common in Europe, but with so many Turkish guests, installing them would be a welcome improvement. Overall, this hotel did not feel like a true five-star property. We certainly didn't book one of the cheaper rooms, yet we left feeling that we didn't receive good value for the money we spent.

The hotel is a luxurious five-star resort with a stunning infinity pool that truly stands out. The rooms are newly renovated, offering modern comfort along with beautiful sea views. Its location is another major advantage—close to the city center and surrounded by excellent restaurants, making it very convenient for guests. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing and high-quality stay. The only area for improvement would be the breakfast. While it was decent, it lacked variety, especially for families—there was no dedicated kids’ buffet, and surprisingly, no pancakes, crepes, or waffles were available.
